The 16-day campaign of activism against gender-based violence began with an international conference organized jointly with the Asian Development Bank.

This October, Miami hosted the 23rd Scientific Meeting of the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM) and the 23rd Annual Fall Scientific Meeting of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America. (SMSNA). Satenik Sahakyan, a member of the Armenian Association of Sexologists, MD Sexologist from the Sexopathology Department of Mikayelyan University Hospital, has been awarded a travel stipend to participate in ISSMSMSNA2022.

The results of the study, jointly conducted by the Armenian Association of Sexologists with the Department of Sexology of YSMU, will be presented at the International Meeting of Medical Medicine (ISSM 2022) in Miami, USA. During the conference, Sexologist Satenik Sahakyan from the Department of Sexology of the Mikayelyan University Hospital will present the topic “The Impact of COVID-19 Restrictions on the Prevalence of Domestic Violence in the Republic of Armenia” via a poster presentation.

 The EFPT (European Federation of Psychiatric Trainees) 27th Forum was held on July 10-14, 2019 at Prague, Czech Republic. This time Armenia was represented by a clinical resident of sexology (YSMU), member of the Armenian Association of Sexologists Satenik Sahakyan and a clinical resident of psychiatry (YSMU), member of the Armenian Psychiatric Association Tatevik Khachatryan.

       2017 was full of conferences and seminars, during which many meetings and discussions took place with world-famous specialists, as a result many programs having scientific-medical importance were accomplished for the development of sexology in The Republic of Armenia.

We regret to inform you about the death of one of our compatriot colleagues Dr. Pierre Assalian.
Dr. Assalian was a member of the Department of Psychiatry at the MUHC for 45 years, joining the staff of the Montreal General Hospital in July 1975 under the directorship of Dr. Alan Mann. 

 
On October 18-19

The international conference "MULTIDISCIPLINARY ASPECTS OF SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH" dedicated to the 20th anniversary of YSMU Department of Sexology.

  This year on May 4-6 in Aghveran took place the seminar about ''Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity'' organized by public organization ILGA Europe.
During the meeting many sexopathologists were present, and also psychiatrists, psychologists and lawyers. 

The 28th EFPT Forum (European Federation of Psychiatric Interns) was held July 1-5, 2020 in Bucharest, Romania. This year, due to a pandemic, the forum was organized online.

September 17-19 an international conference on "Fundamental and Practical Andrology" was held in Tbilisi, where the delegation of YSMU Department of Sexology and Armenian Association of  Sexologists had an active participation.

Doors Open Day will be held at the Clinic of Sexology “Heratsi” N1 Hospital of Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi on April 21, from 10:00 am to 17.00 pm.

STD Awareness Week, observed the second full week in April, provides an opportunity to raise awareness about STDs and how they impact our lives; reduce STD-related stigma, fear, and discrimination; and ensure people have the tools and knowledge to prevent, test for, and treat STDs. 

The EFPT (European Federation of  Psychiatric Trainees) 26th Forum was held on July 21-25, 2018 at the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. Delegations from 39 countries participated in the forum, where Armenia was present for the first time. Satenik Sahakyan, Clinical Resident of Sexology of YSMU was awarded a bursary for 

  This year on February the 1st a meeting with adjacent specialists took place in University 1st clinic after Heratsi. During the meeting LOW-INTENSITY SHOCK WAVE THERAPY DURING MALE DISEASES OF INTERSEXUAL SYSTEM AS A NEW APPROACH OF TREATMENT was presented.
